Four Posts Set Up to Prevent Brawls and Crime in Penggilingan

The Penggilingan Urban Village, Cakung, East Jakarta has set up four integrated posts in order to prevent brawls and crime.

Residents always guard these posts every day during Siskamling (community patrols)

Penggilingan Urban Village Head, Gunawan expressed the four integrated posts are located in RW 03, 09, 10, and 13. All these posts were built at points where brawls and other criminal acts were prone to occur. Specifically in RW 03, the post was joined with a guard post of one of the mass organizations.

"Residents always guard these posts every day during Siskamling (community patrols)." he expressed, Tuesday (8/27).

On weekends, he explained, 30 joint personnel were alerted to guard them.  They were from RT/RW, LMK, FKDM, Babinsa, Bimaspol, and Satpol PP.

From those posts, the most vulnerable point for brawls to occur was in the Small Industrial Village Area (PIK). This location was often a place for brawls between residents of Jatinegara Village who deliberately crossed the bridge over the Buaran River.

"We have also strengthened coordination with the police to prevent brawls between residents," he said.
